Quick Talk Answers 1. What do you think of sushi? I love sushi. I think I'm addicted to it. I eat sushi several times a week. Sometimes I go to a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, but most of the time I buy sushi from supermarkets. I can eat every kind of fish. Each kind has a special taste and flavor. My favorite sushi is probably salmon or tuna. 2. Is raw fish or cooked fish tastier? Ahh.. I love sushi with raw fish. I think raw fish is tastier than cooked fish because the taste is so fresh. As I said before, my favorite fish are tuna and salmon, but I also love sea bream, squid and mackerel. If I have cooked fish with sushi, then my favorite is eel. I like eel that has been marinated in a special sauce. 3. Which is better - nigirizushi or makizushi? I much prefer nigirizushi. To me, that is real sushi. It looks beautiful and tastes amazing. I like dipping the fish in the soy sauce. I never bite the nigirizushi in half – I eat it whole. The vinegar used in the nigirizushi rice really adds to the flavor. I eat makizushi if I have no time and I'm in a hurry. 4. How many pieces of sushi can you eat? It depends. If I'm starving hungry, I could probably eat 30 pieces of sushi – nigirizushi, of course. It also depends on how big the pieces of sushi are. The sushi you get at conveyor belt restaurants are smaller than those in good sushi restaurants. I can eat many pieces, but I'm a poor student, so I usually eat around ten pieces. 5. What do you think of wasabi? I think wasabi is one of the most amazing things you can eat. It has a very unique taste. It's the perfect thing to eat with sushi. And with sashimi. Wasabi and raw fish are made for each other. Many of my friends don't like wasabi. I don't understand why. Sushi without wasabi is not sushi. But, I wish I could eat fresh wasabi more often. 6. Is sushi the best Japanese food? Yes. It's easily the best Japanese food. Raw fish, soy sauce, vinegar and ginger all go well together. Sushi is also perfect for eating with chopsticks. Another good thing about sushi is that we can eat every grain of rice. The next best Japanese food is sashimi. I love anything with raw fish.
